The “Action of Partisan Squad Units” took place, the first action on a national scale during the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War for the liberation of several centers of the country. It was organized according to the decision of the Provisional Central Committee of the Albanian Communist Party. About 1,500 people, members of guerilla units and partisan detachments, took part. Actions were carried out in small tactical groups, but their timely interaction produced results of a strategic scale. For a few days, the strategic direction of the entire state was disrupted, which deeply shocked not only the quisling regime and the command of the Italian occupation forces in Albania, but also that of the occupation forces in Greece.
