Mustafa Kaçaçi, a determined activist of the National Liberation Anti-Fascist War and Hero of the People, was born in Kruja. He was involved in activities against Ahmet Zogu’s movement (1926–1931). He was one of the organizers of the Fier Uprising of 1935. For this, he was sentenced to death, then to life imprisonment. He was a member of the Albanian Communist Party since its foundation. He participated in the Peza Conference (1942). He was appointed commissar of Mati’s partisan detachment. He was a delegate to the 1st Conference of the country of the Albanian Communist Party (1943).
