The cleric and writer Pashko Babi was born in Shkodra. At the age of eighteen, he completed his studies at the Albanian Pontifical College. He then served as a parish priest in various villages of Northern Albania and served as a priest in the deep areas of Northern Albania. He is the author of a text for religious schools entitled “Vakinat e t’ligs të herëshme e t’ligs së re” (“Events from the Old Testament and the New Testament”), Shkodra, 1882, the first textbook published in Albanian in Albania, which deals with the tenses of verbs, issues of the noun system and their plural.
