In Zheger of Gjilan in Kosova, Ibrahim Kadriu was born. He finished elementary school in his hometown (1959), while he finished high school for pedagogy in Gjilan (1964). In 1968, he worked as an editor in newspapers published in Kosova, such as “Rilindja” (“The Renaissance”) and “Zëri”(“The Voice”). Many articles, but also screenplays, radio dramas, novels and volumes of poetry have come out of his pen. Ibrahim Kadri’s creativity has been translated into other languages; parts of his work (poems and fragments of prose) have been published in French, German, Arabic, romanian, Turkish, Italian and English.
