Todi Lubonja

Todi Lubonja was born, writer, former director of Albanian Radio Television. He participated in the National Liberation War and was a member of the Central Committee. Although in the ranks of the Party of Labor, he stood out for a liberal spirit in the direction of ART. After the 11th Song Festival, Lubonja was dismissed from office, expelled from the Party and sentenced. He was first interned with his family in Lezhë and then sentenced to prison on July 27, 1974. He was released on June 7, 1987 after 13 years in Burrel prison. He joins his wife and son, Agimi, in Fishtë, while the other son, Fatosi, whi was arrested two days before him, continued his prison sentence. After two years, they are pardoned from internement. During the years of political pluralism, he published autobiographical books with memories from the dictatorship. (In the photo: Todi Lubonja)
