Heroically fell in the war with the Nazis, Laze Nuro, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People. During the years 1918-1919, he heard the first patriotic talks in Brataj, which increased his patriotic feelings. Lined up alongside the detachment of the village of Brataj in the War of Vlora (1920). Laze Nuro opposed the fascist occupation and joined the ranks of the freedom fighters. In March 1942 , he participated in the Bread Demonstration in Vlora, and on November 28 of the same year, he was in the demonstration for the raise of the flag in the municipality of Brat, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. With the formation of the 5th Assault Brigade, Laze lined up in its ranks and was appointed deputy commander of the second battalion. In particular, Laze’s endurance stood out in the Winter Operation (1943–1944), when his battalion attacked the enemy in the direction of the villages of Vranisht and Tërbaç. The partisans held the hill called Harca e Qafës së Baltës, which was a dominant position. In this fierce struggle, he fell heroically. (In the photo: Laze Nuro)
