In Shkodër, at 5 a.m., Father Danjel Dajani, a martyr of the Catholic Church, was shot. He was born in Blinisht, Zadrima, in 1906. He studied at the Albanian Pontifical Seminary in Shkodra, while he studied philosophy and theology in Chieri, Italy. He was ordained a priest in Chieri on July 15, 1938. Teacher of Latin, Greek, and Albanian, philosophy, and mathematics. He was the director of the “Lajmëtari i Zemrës së Krishtit” magazine. He was arrested on December 31, 1945 and sentenced on February 22, 1946. (In the photo: Father Danjel Dajani)
