In Ramicë of Vlora, Ramize Gjebrea, a former student of the girls’ school “Nëna Mbretneshë”, a flag-bearer of the anti-fascist youth demonstration in Tirana, a partisan, responsible for the youth of the fifth brigade, an intellectual, publicist, and descendant from Kaçanik (Kosova), who fought for freedom and national unity, was executed. The execution of Ramize Gjebrea was carried out on the basis of a hasty decision of the partisan court of the fifth brigade. The trial, being afraid of the dimensions that this event could take, both in maintaining morale within the ranks of the brigade, but also being afraid of the propaganda that the National Front developed against the engagement of young women in the partisan ranks, calling them “immoral” and “unethical “, took this extreme decision.
