In Janosh, near Gjakova, father Luigj Paliq (1879-1913), martyr of the Catholic Church, passed away. He was born in Janjevë (Kosova), in 1879. After primary school in his hometown, he moved to Albania, to the Assembly of Troshan (Lezhë). He continued his philosophical studies in Italy, during the years 1896-1901. He was ordained a priest on September 21, 1901. After his ordination he served in Kosova, in the parishes of Peja and Gllogjani, as well as in the sanctuary of Shën Antoni in Gjakova.
