Nikollë Deda, martyr of the Catholic Church, was executed. He was born in Shkodër. Graduated in philosophy and theology in Rome. Priest in Shkodër, Koman, Hajmel, etc. He was arrested in 1946 and brutally tortured for two years by the State Security, up to hanging and electrocution. By decision of the Military Court of Shkodra, dated January 8, 1948, he was sentenced to death on the charge of “political crimes”, along with 16 other clerics. (In the photo: Nikola Deda).
