The first collaborationist government

On April 12, 1939, the first collaborationist government was formed during the fascist occupation. This government continued its activity until December 3, 1941. The government consisted of: Shefqet Vërlaci, prime minister and deputy minister of state; Xhaferr Ypi, Minister Secretary of State for Justice; Maliq Bushati, Minister Secretary of State for Internal Affairs; Xhemil Dino, Minister of Foreign Affairs (until 25.05.1939); Fejzi Alizoti, Minister Secretary of State for Finance (later, 04.05.1940, Qemal Vrioni); Andon Beça, Minister Secretary of State for the National Economy; Ernest Koliqi, minister secretary of state for Education and Tefik Mborja (03.06.1939), minister secretary of the Fascist Party. On March 16, 1940, the Ministry of National Economy was dissolved and its holder, Andon Beça, was appointed Minister of State for Agriculture and Forestry as well as for Industry and Trade. After the death of Xhafer Ypi, on 17.11.1940, the position of the Minister of State Secretary of Justice was held by Prime Minister Shefqet Vërlaci. (In the photo: Prime Minister Shefqet Vërlaci)
