On April 17, 1927, Enver Dauti, comedian, Merited Artist, was born in Tirana. He was active as an amateur in the theater groups of Tirana since the first years of liberation. For his talent as a comic, in 1957 he was drawn to the professional troupe of the State Estrada, where he worked until he retired in 1983. There he played many roles from different social strata and different historical periods. As an actor of the variety profile, he acquired and tried various aspects of this theater, such as skits, dialogues, monologues, parodies, pantomimes, etc. His humor was natural, effortless; he frequently used the expressive gesture, emphasizing the word or sentence where the humor originated, which hid a comic contrast. Alongside the numerous characters he created in nearly 50 years of career in the short genres of humor on the stage, he also played in 11 movies, where he is remembered for his comedic roles in “Odisea e tifozave” (“Odyssey of the fans”) (1972), “Kur hiqen maskat” (“When masks are remove”) (1975), “Cirku në fshat” (“Circus in the village”) (1977), “Lulëkuqet mbi mure” (“Red flowers on the wall”) (1976) etc. (In the photo: Enver Dauti)
