Tahir Sinani, a national martyr and fighter of three liberation wars, was killed. He was born in Gri, Tropoja, in 1964. He completed high school in Tropoja and then attended military school. In 1986, he was appointed as a training instructor in the military division of Bajram Curri. Later, he became the head of the rapid intervention sector. With the onset of the Kosovo War, he was appointed as an officer in the training camp of the Kosovo Liberation Army in Tropoja. In November 1998, he moved to Pashtrik and was appointed as a member of the Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army and later commanded a special unit of the General Staff. He was entrusted with the task of training instructor. After the start of NATO attacks against Serbian forces, he was tasked with defending the Pashtrik Operational Zone. On June 12, 1999, he and his soldiers triumphantly entered Prizren. After the transformation of the Kosovo Liberation Army into the Kosovo Protection Corps (TMK), he was appointed as the commander of the Doctrine and Training Center in Nashec. As a member of the Liberation Army of Presheva, Medvegja, and Bujanoc, he fought in Koncul, Dobrosin, and Bujanoc. After the mobilization of the Liberation Army of Presheva, Medvegja, and Bujanoc, he joined the National Liberation Army and was appointed as the commander of Brigade 116, based in Tanusha, Gostivar. He was killed on July 29, 2001. In 2002, his body was reburied in the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Landovica, Prizren. (In the photo: Tahir Sinani)
