Ramiz Aranitasi, participant in the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed by the collaborators of the Italian invaders, on the mountain of Leshnja (Skrapar). He was born in Aranitas of Mallakastra, in 1923. He was expelled from the agricultural school of Kavaja for revolutionary activity. He joined the communist group of Korça, being a student of the technical school there. He participated in the demonstration of November 8th, 1941, in Korça, where he was injured and arrested by the fascists. He was a member of the guerrilla units of Korça (1942). Member of the Albanian Communist Party, in 1942. Organizer of partisan detachments in the province of Skrapar and commissar of the second detachment of Skrapar (1942). He developed extensive activities for the establishment of national liberation councils and for the creation of voluntary units. He participated in the 1st Country Conference of the Albanian Communist Party as a delegate of the district of Berat. He passed away in 1943. (In the photo: Ramiz Aranitasi)
