Qamil Prizreni was born in Tirana, an important painter, watercolorist and graphic artist in Albanian art of the 20th-21st centuries. During 1953-1959, he studied painting at LAJM, in Tirana. In 1961 he participated in the Biennale of Alexandria (Egypt) and then created and exhibited many paintings with historical themes, portraits and landscapes. After 1990, Prizren opened a studio gallery in Tirana and participated in several exhibitions abroad. His paintings bring motifs from everyday life, through a realistic painting, where delicate color and Mediterranean light are felt. In addition to paintings in the technique of oil colors, the painter Qamil Prizreni also creates watercolor works with themes from the social life of Tirana.
