A hunger strike was organized in the prison of Qafë-Bar (Pukë), which was one of the strongest bells for the change of the law and the successive demands of various organizations for the amnesty of political prisoners in Albania. Albania was going through strong moments in the international arena after the entry of Albanians into foreign embassies in the country and these news, although truncated, also included the lives of many political prisoners who were looking for a ray of hope. Faced with the obstinacy of the system which had not yet reacted through legislation for amnesty against the prisoners, they again took a bold step by going on a hunger strike.
