The first issue of the “Telegraf” (“Telegraph”) newspaper (1926-1928), an informative, political, social, cultural and literary newspaper, also in French and Italian, was published in Tirana. It was founded and directed by Kostë Çekrezi. It continued until September 1928: first twice a week, then three and four times a week. 165 numbers were published. The newspaper “Telegraph” was noted for its varied topics and issues, for its variety of forms of journalistic coverage, being evaluated as “the modern newspaper of Albania”. On November 28th, 2005, the daily newspaper “Telegraph” began to be published in Tirana, trying to renew the tradition of its predecessor. (In the photo: View from Tirana in the 1930s.)
