Dhimitër Theodhori was born in Përmet, an Albanian scenographer and costume designer. He studied painting at the artistic high school “Jordan Misja”, Tirana (1964) and graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts (1969). After working for several years at the artistic company “Migjeni” in Tirana, he was a costume designer at the former “Shqipëria e Re” Cinema Studio. Dhimitër Theodhori made the costume designs for dozens of Albanian feature films, such as “Gëzhoja e vjetër” (“The last cartridge-case”)(1980), “Flutura në kabinën time” (“Butterflies in my cabin”) (1988), “Nata” (“The night”) (1998) and “I dashur armik” (“Dear enemy”) (2005). His artistic life was confined to the studio and to the filming locations, where he drew and painted during filming in various locations in Albania. His most creative work belongs to drawing, costume design, landscape and portraiture. He passed away in Tirana, in 2013.
