Llukë Karafili was born in Berat, educator, researcher, bibliophile and publicist. On December 11, 1993, the Directorate of Prison Administration under the Ministry of Public Order, recognized the fact of serving a sentence “for political motives” from January 29, 1945 to May 7, 1945. Llukë Karafili became known in journalism in the 30s of the 20th century under the pseudonym “Bardhyli”, under which he published in the magazine “Leka” and “Hylli i Dritës” (“The Star of Light”). In 1912, under the pseudonym (Bardhyli), he wrote the paper with numerical exercises on the subject of arithmetic (mathematics) which talked about the methodology of the subject that was used more than a century ago in the country.
