Lexo ngjarje:

In the “Tophana” neighborhood of Vlora, in the illegal base of the Albanian Communist Party, Mumin Selami, activist of the National Liberation Antifascist Movement, Hero of the People, was killed. He was born in the village of Kallarat in Vlora, in 1923. During the time he attended the high school in Tirana, he embraced communist ideas. After the fascist occupation of the country, he threw himself into anti-fascist activity and for this reason he was expelled from school, imprisoned and exiled for more than a year in his village, where he continued his anti-fascist activity. With the establishment of the Albanian Communist Party, he embraced its line and continued the fight against fascism, participating in daring assassinations. He was arrested and imprisoned twice, in Tirana and Vlora, he was subjected to torture, but due to lack of evidence he was released. On the night of October 18, he found himself surrounded by fascist forces in the illegal base. Mumin Selami decided to break through the siege and through the dense fire of the enemy attacked the fascists with revolvers and hand grenades, where he was killed. His act resonated not only in Vlora, but throughout Albania. (In the photo: Mumin Selami)
