The “Fushë-Kosovo Massacre” occurred in the village of Nakadër, located in the municipality of Fushë-Kosovo, where Serbian police and army forces perpetrated violence against the Albanian civilian population. In April 1999, the residents of the village of Nakadër tried several times to flee the village, but were prevented by the Serbian forces. On April 21, 1999, 16 members of the Mirena family, all men between the ages of 18 and 58, were arrested. Except for one person, all the arrested males of this family were executed by the Serbian forces. The bodies of the victims were initially buried in Pomozotin, a village in the municipality of Fushë -Kosovo, while two days later they were exhumed and sent in an unknown direction. In 2006, their bodies were found in the mass grave in Batajnica, Serbia. (In the photo: View from the city of Fushë-Kosovo.)
