Studied in the Illyric colleges (educational institutions of the Catholic Church) of Fermo and Loreto (Italy), where he received a doctorate in theology and philosophy. In 1743, he was appointed archbishop of Skopje and remained in this position until the end of his life. In 1740, he discovered Gjon Buzuku&#8217;s &#8220;Meshari&#8221; (\u201c<i>The<\/i> <i>Missal<\/i>\u201d) in the library of the College of Religious Propaganda (the College for the Evangelization of Peoples in Rome).
