The cleric and writer Pashko Babi was born in Shkodra. At the age of eighteen, he completed his studies at the Albanian Pontifical College. He then served as a parish priest in various villages of Northern Albania and served as a priest in the deep areas of Northern Albania. He is the author of a text for religious schools entitled \u201cVakinat e t\u2019ligs t\u00eb her\u00ebshme e t\u2019ligs s\u00eb re\u201d (“Events from the Old Testament and the New Testament”)<\/i>, Shkodra, 1882, the first textbook published in Albanian in Albania, which deals with the tenses of verbs, issues of the noun system and their plural.
