He finished the &#8220;Zosimea&#8221; school in Ioannina. In 1854, he settled in Istanbul, where he was elected a member of the Central Committee for the Protection of the Rights of the Albanian Nationality. Together with Ismail Qemali, Hoxha Tahsini, Kostandin Kristoforidhi and Pashko Vasa, they formulated and approved the Istanbul Alphabet.
