He was born in the village of Bolena in Vlora. He took part in the anti-fascist activity in the Vlora district and in the actions of guerrilla units. Member of the Albanian Communist Party at the beginning of 1943, deputy commander of the Detachment \u201cPlak\u00eb\u201d of Vlora and then battalion commander in the 1st Assault Brigade (1943).
