He was born in B\u00ebrzeshta (Elbasan), completed the state high school in Istanbul and graduated as a pharmacist at the military medical school. In Ioannina, he met the Frash\u00ebri brothers and collaborated for a long time with Naim. He became one of the propagandists of national ideas, spreading Albanian books and newspapers wherever he worked. Supported the activity of the Albanian League of Peja (1899).
