Croatian linguist, albanologist and balkanologist Henrik Bari\u00e7 was born. He is one of the foreign researchers of the history of the Albanian language. For several years in a row, he published the scientific journal “Archive of Albanian Antiquity, Language and Ethnology”<\/i>. He is the author of several works: “Albanorumanische Studien” <\/i>(“Romanian-Albanian Studies”, Sarajevo, 1919); “Iliriske ji\u0161\u010dne stidije” <\/i>(“Illyrian linguistic studies”, Zagreb, 1948); ” Poreklo Arbana\u0161a u zvetlu jezika <\/i>” (“The origin of Albanians in the light of language”, Sarajevo, 1954). Undertook a Serbo-Croatian-Albanian dictionary, of which only the first part was published: “Re\u010dnik srpskoga ili hrvatskoga i arbanskoba jezika”<\/i>, Zagreb, 1950. In his etymological studies, Henrik Bari\u00e7 added the Indo-European fund of Albanian and treated some phonetic phenomena of its history.
