The special trial started in Tirana, <\/span>through<\/span> which 17 people were shot. The Special Court of Tirana (March 1 – April 13, 1945) “tried” and “sentenced,” in 31 sessions 60 nationalists accused of war criminals: 17 people were sentenced to death by firing squad, 8 to life imprisonment, and the others, with various prison sentences. Among them were well-known intellectuals and nationalists, Bahri Omari, Kolë <\/span>Tromara<\/span>, <\/span>Aqif<\/span> Përmeti<\/span>, Ismail Golemi, etc., who were executed. <\/span><\/span>(In the photo: One of those <\/em><\/span>shot<\/span><\/em>, Bahri Omari, in the courtroom, 1945.<\/em>)<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
