He was born in Janjev\u00eb (Kosova), in 1879. After primary school in his hometown, he moved to Albania, to the Assembly of Troshan (Lezh\u00eb). He continued his philosophical studies in Italy, during the years 1896-1901. He was ordained a priest on September 21, 1901.
