He served as a priest in his hometown, then in Pej\u00eb, Prizren and elsewhere, where he taught Albanian. He wrote poems that are permeated by the patriotic spirit. Some of his writings became known through the collection <i>&#8220;Shahiri elierz&#8221; (\u201cHonest Singer\u201d, <\/i>1887) , but most of them remained in manuscript.
