They came to the defense of the military unit and the anti-aircraft battery located in Dobra\u00e7, Shkodra, where hundreds of citizens wanted to take up arms. Thousands of young people lost their lives, as the entire population was armed to the teeth due to the opening of the armament depots. Shkodra remains one of the cities with the heaviest casualties from this civil war. However, thanks to the sacrifices of some police or army officers, the situation did not deteriorate further, as the people could equip themselves with grenades or rockets. Muhamet Hasmuja and Arben Hoxha have been declared Martyrs of the Homeland.
