The Mbishkodra Highlands Uprising began. The Albanian uprising of 1911 ended with a partial agreement, because it failed to turn into a general uprising. However, it was possible to establish contacts between the insurgents of Northern and Southern Albania and the colonies. Well-known patriots from different provinces of Albania, such as Ismail Qemali, Pandeli Cale, Salih Hoxha, etc., found themselves in Montenegro those days, near the highlanders. Nikoll\u00eb Ivanaj, Themistokli G\u00ebrmenji and Ismail Qemali also went to the colonies to ensure their help and support. Luigj Gurakuqi, Nikoll\u00eb Ivanaj, Fadil Toptani, and Themistokli G\u00ebrmenji also went to Corfu to work from there to expand the uprising in the south of the country. But, at the time when the Mbishkodra Highlands uprising was at its peak, the other provinces were reluctant to stand up. Kosova, which had not overcome the devastating consequences of Shefqet Turgut Pasha’s expedition in 1910, found it difficult to jump into the uprising, while Mirdita, under the influence of Preng Bib Doda and confused by the action of Terenc To\u00e7i, generally maintained a waiting attitude. The South Committees, worried by the hostile attitude of the Greek government, were reluctant to start the uprising in the first period, in May – the beginning of June when the situation was most favorable for its outbreak. The insurgent movement in South Albania broke out in July-August 1911, when the uprising of the highlanders of North Albania had begun to decline and weaken. The uprising of 1911 marked a qualitative step forward in the organization of the national movement and raised the political consciousness of Albanians to a higher level. The Mbishkodra Highlands uprising forced the Ottoman invaders to negotiate with the Albanians and make some concessions to them ; can be considered as the prologue of the General Albanian Uprising of 1912.
