After completing primary and secondary school, he entered the Shkodra Seminary and went to Innsbruck, Austria. He was ordained a priest in Shkodra on April 24, 1916. He was the secretary of the archbishop of Shkodra, Monsignor Jak Serreqi; deputy parish priest of the cathedral church of Shkodra; vicar of Barbullushi (Shkod\u00ebr), Boga (Peja), Shkreli and Sheldi (Shkod\u00ebr). He was arrested in Sheldi and imprisoned in Shkod\u00ebr on February 4, 1945.
