He is one of the clerics who refused to sign the Statute of the Catholic Church. In 1957, after several years of service in the parish of Koman, he was transferred to the parish of the village of Qel\u00ebz (Shkod\u00ebr). On August 21, 1958, he was arrested for the third time, on the charge that, &#8220;in cooperation with spies and saboteurs, on the night of November 26, 1951, they organized and carried out with terrorist purposes, inside the church of Qel\u00ebz village, the murder of the activist of the organs of state security, Comrade Mark, and has carried out the work of preparation to escape abroad in cooperation&#8221;.
