He was born in the village of Aranitas in Mallakastra, on April 12, 1874. He attended the Istanbul Military Academy and served in the army of the Ottoman Empire. In January 1913, he entered the service of the Albanian Army, created by the Provisional Government of Vlora (1912), with the rank of major, where he performed important duties. In 1916-1917 he served with the Austro-Hungarian forces in Albania. For this he was awarded by the Empire with the &#8220;Order of Merit of the Golden Crown&#8221;. The government created by the Congress of Lushnja (1920) appointed him Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces; Commander of the Regiment (Second Group) of Tirana, in 1921; Minister of War in 1923, until the victory of the Democratic Revolution of June 1924. After that he settled in Bari. In 1925, with the establishment of the General Command of the Armed Forces, he was appointed Chairman of the Permanent Military Court until 1927, when he resigned and retired.
