Since the end of the 19th century, he began to do research in the Balkans (in Dalmatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece). He published articles and books related to Albania on economic, political, geographical, botanical and ethnographic issues. Among them, the main one is the work &#8221; <i>Albanesi speciali study&#8221; <\/i>in three volumes (&#8220;Special Albanian studies&#8221;, 1932-1937). For geography, &#8221; <i>Itinerari albanesi&#8221; <\/i>(&#8220;Albanian Itinerary&#8221;, 1892-1902), &#8221; <i>Nuove carte dell&#8217;Albania&#8221; <\/i>(&#8220;New maps of Albania&#8221;, 1914), &#8221; <i>Albania <\/i>&#8221; (&#8220;Albania&#8221;, 1929) are of interest.
