Grezda belongs to the Albanian artists who studied at the Italian Academies in the first half of the 20th century (1938\u20131943). He is primarily a realist painter, who created his works in socialist realism (1944\u20131990). Mainly inclined towards nature, the painter Qamil Grezda devoted himself to landscape and realistic portraiture. He completed his primary school and part of his secondary education in the city of Shkodra. In 1936, Qamil Grezda went to the drawing school in Tirana. The parents sent Grezda to Foggia (Italy) to study agronomy or finance, but he won the admission competition to the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. After graduation, he returned to Albania and after the end of the war, Grezda was appointed as a scenographer at Radio-Teat\u00ebr, Tirana.
