In the village of Qabiq in the municipality of Klina, Muj\u00eb Krasniqi was born, a participant in the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), a Hero of Kosovo, known as commander “Kapu\u00e7i.” In 1994 he was arrested, then went underground. He kept in contact with the main leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, with whom, from time to time, he carried out organized actions against police posts and police checkpoints. On 28 November, 1997, on the occasion of the burial of the martyr Halit Geci from Llausha, Muj\u00eb Krasniqi, together with Daut Haradinaj and Rexhep Selim, appeared publicly in front of thousands of citizens, where they revealed the goals of the Kosovo Liberation Army. He initiated the formation of the combat unit “Alfa” of the Kosovo Liberation Army. On April 16, 1998, Muj\u00eb Krasniqi was seriously injured and then sent to Albania for recovery. In November 1998, with fellow fighters, he successfully penetrated Albania to obtain weapons and ammunition for the needs of the war. On 13-14 December, 1998, with 143 fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, he left for Kosovo and Pashtrik. In the place called Likenet e Hasit-Gorozhup, the Serbian forces attack the column, where Muje Krasniqi and over 30 of his comrades are killed. On December 21st, 1998, Muj\u00eb Krasniqi and 35 other martyrs were buried with military honors in Polac of Drenica. In honor of the work of Muje Krasniqi, the 113th Brigade of Drenica was named after him. In 2009, the president of Kosovo honored him with the “Hero of Kosovo” Order.
