Qani Mehmedi, journalist and publicist, died in Kosovo. He was born in K\u0451r\u00e7ov\u0451, in 1953. He completed his primary education in his hometown, the high school in Tetovo, the Faculty of Law in Prishtina, majoring in journalism and diplomacy, where he also completed his post-graduate studies. He was an editor in the student newspaper “Bota e re”, deputy editor-in-chief in the magazine “Z\u0451ri i Rinis\u0451”, editor in Kosovo Television, reporter in the Croatian National Radio, editor in Radio-Tirana and Albanian Radio Television. After the war, for a while he was the editor-in-chief of the daily “Lajm” and the founder and editor-in-chief of the television “Uskana” in K\u0451r\u00e7ov\u0451. He has written articles and comments for the daily “Rilindja” and the newspapers “Danas” from Zagreb and “Osllobojenja” from Sarajevo. He is the author of the book “Shtetformimi i Kosov\u0451s\u201d (State Formation of Kosovo) (2011). He is the bearer of several awards and acknowledgments from the field of journalism.
