Ilia Shyti, a distinguished actor of theater and cinema, and Merited Artist, was born in Lushnj\u00eb. He began his involvement in the city’s amateur theater and in 1954 started working as an actor at the People’s Theater. He primarily played supporting roles, portraying original characters and types. He skillfully embodied the character of Nikollaq Jorganxhiu in the comedy “Karnavalet e Kor\u00e7\u00ebs” by Spiro \u00c7omo, a reprisal staged in 1975 at the People’s Theater. Ilia Shyti was an actor of characters, impulsive, warm-hearted; he skillfully blended nervous and conversational scenes with those comedic and humorous. In cinema, he appeared in 45 films, mainly in supporting and minor roles, such as Engineer Mborja in the film “Vitet e para” (1965), Uncle Rizai in “Rrug\u00eb t\u00eb bardha” (1974), Mullai of Berat in “N\u00ebntori i dyt\u00eb” (1982), Etleva’s father in “Treni niset m\u00eb 7 pa pes\u00eb” (1988), Uncle Jorgji in “Era e ngroht\u00eb e thell\u00ebsive” (1982), and others. He passed away in 2004.<\/p>\n
