Beqir Musliu, poet, prose writer, dramatist and theater critic, passed away in Prishtina. He was born in Gjilan, on June 11th, 1945. He completed primary and secondary education in his hometown. He studied Albanian language and literature at the University of Prishtina. For a long time he worked as a journalist and editor of the culture column in the magazine “Zeri i Rinise”. He was editor-in-chief of the magazine “Plejada”, editor for many years of the magazines “Fjala” and “Jeta e re”. He started his literary creativity as a poet, then moved on to other literary forms: stories, novels, drama and radio drama, before remaining in poetry. In 1965, the magazine “Jeta e re” published his first poetry book “Rima te shqetsueme”. Then he published the next books, building his own poetic and symbolic system. Other poetry books are: “Blood Poppies” (1966), “Black Beauty” (1968), “Parabola” (1976), “Magic Dinner ” (1978). While the works in prose: “Ndeshtrasha”, novel (1973); “Purple Collectors”, novel (1982); “Krupa”, novel (1989); “Chorus of dead turkeys”, stories (2002) etc. His literary work , parts of which were published in literary magazines and the remaining part in manuscript, was published posthumously in seven volumes by the publishing house “Faik Konica” (2004), including previously unpublished works. , such as the novels “Nightmare”, “Amullia”, the poem “Sk\u00ebnderbeu”, etc. He also published the dramas: “I am Halil Garria” (1982), “Shtrigani i Gjel-Hani” (tetralogy, 1989), etc. Beqir Musli’s literary creativity was presented in several panoramas and anthologies of literature in Albanian and several other languages.
