He served in the French consulates in Ioannina, Thessaloniki, and other locations. He published the work &#8220;Manuel de la langue Albanaise,&#8221; Paris, 1879 (&#8220;Book of the Albanian Language&#8221;), the first part of which contains fairy tales, folk songs, proverbs, and other unpublished texts. The second part includes a systematic grammar of Albanian based on the Tosk dialect, primarily from the dialect of P\u00ebrmet. An appendix describes the basic features of the phonetics and morphology of the Greek language. At the end of the book, there is an Albanian-French dictionary with about 4,000 words. The tales were reprinted only in French in the book &#8220;Contes albanais,&#8221; Paris, 1881 (&#8220;Albanian Tales&#8221;), which included an introduction and a substantial explanatory section.
