Remzi Përnaska, linguist, teacher, has passed away. He was born in Korça, in 1934. He completed high school in his hometown. He studied in the branch of the Russian language at the Higher Pedagogical Institute of Tirana, continued his higher studies in Turkish philology at the Institute of Eastern Languages in Moscow (1960–1961), finished in the branch of the Albanian language and literature at the University of Tirana ( 1961–1963). He worked as a lecturer of syntax at the Albanian language department of the University of Tirana (1963–1974), a scientific worker at the Institute of Linguistics and Literature (1982–1991), a lecturer of the Albanian language at the Institute of Eastern Languages and Civilizations in Paris (1974–1982 and 1991–1997), associate professor at the Practical School of Higher Studies at the University of Sorbonne (Paris). He has published the monograph “<\/span>Kundranori me parafjalë në gjuhën shqipe<\/span>“(“Accusative object with prepositions in the Albanian language”) (Pejë, 1996) and in French the book “La syntaxe de l’énoncé en albanais contemporain: la syntaxe des formes atonnes des pronoms)”, Lile, 1996 (“Syntax of speech in the Albanian language: the syntax of the so-called short forms of pronouns”). Co-author in the work “<\/span>Gramatika e gjuhës shqipe, vëll. II Sintaksa<\/span>” (“Albanian language grammar, vol. II Syntax”)(1996, 2002). He has written a number of study articles on problems of Albanian syntax and morphology. Co-author of the text for learning Albanian “Parlons albanais” (Paris, 1999) and author of two manuals for learning the Albanian language by francophones. Author of several texts for higher and secondary education. Member of the Linguistic Association of Paris and the Association of Linguists of France.
