Kruno Krsti\u0107, linguist, philosopher and psychologist, was born in Arbanas near the city of Zadar in Croatia. In the years 1726 and 1733 his ancestors settled in Arbanas. In 1926, he graduated from the classical Italian secondary school “Gabriele D’Annunzio”, in Zadar. From 1926 he studied philosophy and psychology as well as Italian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb, where he graduated in 1930. Then, in the same faculty, in 1934 he received a diploma in French and Latin language and literature. He defended the scientific degree “Doctor of Sciences” in 1937 with the dissertation “Psychology and its content: perspective polymorphism of the subject of psychology”. Kruno Krsti\u0107 is the author of important texts, such as: “Croatian language legislation”, “The semantic space of words”, “The issue of Serbs”, “Historical path of the Croatian literary language”, etc., most of which were published in print in the years 1941–1942. He is the author of one of the most important works documenting the linguistic and cultural heritage of the Arbëresh people of Zadar: “Dictionary of today’s speech of the Arbëresh people of Zadar”. He passed away in Zagreb, in 1987. After his death, he was honored by giving a primary school in Zadar the name “Kruna Krsti\u0107”. The bust of Kruno Krsti\u0107 (Krsti\u0107) has been placed in the Arbanasi of Zadar, as part of the Albanian cultural days “Our Lady of Loreto”, which were held in May 2023 on the occasion of the 297th anniversary of the settlement of the Arbereshe in Zadar.
