They lined up: VI Assault Brigade, VII Assault Brigade, VIII Assault Brigade, XXII Assault Brigade with over 4000 partisans. The VI Division carried out training combat actions across the borders against the forces of the 181st Division of the XXI Mountain Corps of Army Group &#8220;E&#8221; and other German forces, as well as numerous Chetnik gangs, numbering several thousand people. In the first days of December 1944, the VI Assault Division extended its combat operations from Mount Decic, Lieva Rjeka, to the right of the Mora&ccedil;a River, on a front of more than 50 km. On December 10&ndash;13, the brigades of the VI Assault Division were thrown into a general attack, cutting off the retreat of the German forces. The training front stretched from Planina to Lieva-Rjeka. On December 14, the XXII Assault Brigade liberated Tuzi and the Albanian villages in its surroundings, while the VI Assault Brigade, VII Assault Brigade, VIII Assault Brigade fought and defeated the enemy in Kosovo, Medun, Bresku, Lieva-Rjeka. On December 16-19, fierce frontal battles took place, on a division scale, along the Podgorica-Kolashin road, where about 1,000 were killed by the enemy forces. On 18.12.1944, in cooperation with the forces of the IX Brigade of the III Division of the Yugoslav National Liberation Army, the forces of the VII Assault Brigade and the XXII Assault Brigade of the I Assault Division liberated Podgorica. In the battles for the liberation of Montenegro, 50 partisans were killed and another 100 were injured from the force of the VI Assault Division alone, while the enemy&#8217;s losses were numerous, both in people and in war materials. The brigades of the VI Assault Division pursued the enemy, who were retreating towards southern Bosnia. This operation began on 19.12.1944 and ended on 14.02.1945, with the liberation of the cities of Rudo, Suhagore, Drinsko and Visegrad. Only in the fighting for the liberation of Visegrad, the enemy had 754 killed and 1000 wounded. From the VI Attacking Division, 35 partisans heroically fell on the battlefield and 61 were injured. During the 76 days that followed the fighting of the VI Attacking Division forces outside the state borders, they caused the enemy 3758 soldiers and officers killed and wounded. The VI Assault Division returned home in December 1945. The headquarters of the VI Assault Division was headed by Gjin Marku and commissar Myzafer Spaho.
