Nuredin Zejnullahu (Ceke), doctor, internist, martyr, was executed in Peja (Kosovo). He was born in Pejë, in 1949. He attended elementary school and high school in his hometown, while he attended the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He worked in Peja, at the General Hospital. In Belgrade, he completed his specialization in the field of internal medicine. With the outbreak of the war in Kosovo, he was committed to the provision of drugs and other equipment necessary for the treatment of the wounded. On the evening of November 19, 1998, masked persons entered his house and brutally executed him in the presence of his family members. For special merits in helping freedom fighters and the civilian population in wartime, the Association of Doctors of Kosovo, posthumously, honored him with special gratitude.
