Qemal Stafa, a member of the Albanian Communist Party, was elected political secretary of the Albanian Communist Youth. After the founding meeting in the main cities of the country, regional committees of the Communist Youth were established. The organ of the Albanian Communist Youth was the magazine &#8220;Kushtrimi i lirise&#8221; (&ldquo;Summons for freedom&rdquo;). With the initiative of the Albanian Communist Youth, the Albanian Anti-Fascist Youth Union (BRASH) was created, which had the task of uniting, organizing and throwing the young generation into the fight for a free, independent and democratic Albania. At the II National Liberation Conference, it was recognized as an Albanian anti-fascist youth organization, which would be part of the National Liberation Anti-Fascist Front. In August 1944, the 1st Congress of Albanian Anti-Fascist Youth was held. The Albanian Anti-Fascist Youth Union was directed in all its activities by the Albanian Communist Youth organization. Thousands of young anti-fascists fought in the ranks of guerilla units, squads, battalions and partisan brigades.
