He was born in the village of Hora of Arb&euml;resh&euml; (it. Piana degli Albanesi), province of Palermo (Sicily), in 1937. He became a priest on November 19, 1960. He was a professor of mathematics and scientific subjects, as well as the director of the Byzantine choir of the Cathedral of St. Miter, which was composed of the Arberesh of Sicily.
