He was born in Picar of Kurveleshi (Gjirokast&euml;r), in 1929. At the age of 13, he enlisted in the partisan ranks, first with the Kurveleshi detachment, in the &#8220;<em>Asim Zeneli<\/em>&#8221; battalion (1943) and later in the VI Assault Brigade (1944). Took part in actions and battles.
