He became a priest on November 19, 1960. Sotir Ferrara is considered &#8220;the master of the Byzantine liturgy of the Arb\u00ebresh tradition&#8221;, as he influenced the spiritual and social unity of the Arb\u00ebresh residents during his 25 years of work as despot (bishop) of the Hora Eparchy of Arb\u00ebresh. He was a professor of mathematics and scientific subjects, as well as the director of the Byzantine choir of Saint Mitra&#8217;s Cathedral, which was composed of the Arb\u00ebresh of Sicily.
